Ziemann Holvrieka relies on Weihenstephan standards for digital transformation and IT integration
The construction of a new production facility poses increasingly greater challenges for the international brewing and beverage industry. To name just a few factors: its flexibility must be ever greater, it must consume fewer and fewer resources and raw materials and its time to market must be as short as possible. Against this background, Ziemann Holvrieka GmbH is breaking new ground in the realization of a turnkey project. In this case, standardisation and digitalization are of central importance.
A central component for this is the exchange of data between machines and higher-level IT systems, but also between the individual machines. Especially in production lines with different machine suppliers or several relevant IT systems the complexity of this task increases. Here, Ziemann Holvrieka consistently relies on the open Weihenstephan standards (WS). These reduce the integration efforts through predefined interfaces with easy-to-use communication standards, clearly defined practice-relevant data points as well as domain-specific machine profiles and evaluation recommendations. The standardised communication interfaces can also be implemented quickly and easily in all machines of the food and beverage industry. In this way, the use of the Weihenstephan standards sustainably reduces the complexity of project planning and implementation in practice. Thus, Ziemann Holvrieka saves its customers time and thus costs with regard to the IT integration.
